I wanted to provide an update regarding violence against women and girls, which members around this area have highlighted as an issue of concern on the Met Engage priority survey. As part of the Violence Against Women and Girls (VAWG) Strategy, we recognise the vital role that the public plays in helping us identify and tackle VAWG-related concerns within their communities. Listening to the experiences of women and girls provides valuable insight into where issues are occurring, enabling us to better target resources, problem-solve effectively, and make our communities safer. We take violence against women and girls incredibly seriously and will do everything in our power to ensure those who commit these crimes see justice. Please visit our website for the latest advice and guidance. If you have been the victim or have witnessed a crime, it is very important that you report this as early as possible. We also provide advice for everyone on how to keep one another safe. We want your help to shape the future of policing across London. We are seeking your views on our new inclusion strategy to ensure that the Met is a police service that is trusted, representative and more effective at keeping London safe. You can have your say on our Inclusion Strategy consultation which runs until Thursday 26 November. | ||
